What is the focus of "Down To Earth"? What is the class size?
Intermediate to advanced students will spend six days in the canyons of Abiquiu exploring connections to the land by giving form to them in art. Each day we will work outdoors drawing inspiration from the magnificent landscape. Application techniques will be taught and landscape principles reviewed. Imaginative simplification, color and a bold, individualized approach to composition will be the focus along with the rich color and texture that results from layering pastel on a variety of surfaces.
